Chris is probably NCC’s best batsman. He later had spells at Paultons and Sparsholt, and currently lives in Gloucester, playing in that county’s top division. He made his first NCC century aged 15 and went on to make 7 more with a best of 147 vs Ampfield in 2007.
Chris still makes the odd appearance and has also been very generous with cash donations. He has the ability to ‘bat through’ innings and just loves batting! He is also a top wicketkeeper.
Statistics include:
- Holds the first wicket (233 vs Breamore 1997) and second wicket (203* vs Coombe Bissett 1994) records for NCC, both in company with Gary Loveless.
- Has been involved in 4 partnerships of 150+
- Has scored 8 league centuries
- Has won 3 NCC Best Performance awards
- Has won one NCC club man award (2008)
- Has won one six-hit trophy (2008) – he is quite proud of this one as he does not hit many maximums!
