Match Report – Under 11s win vs Redlynch

Bramshaw U11’s fielded first against Redlynch & Hale. The first Redlynch pair started well with 27 runs coming from the first four overs. Undeterred the bowlers performed exceptionally well backed up by a sharp fielding performance including three runouts with direct hits Redlynch staggered to an under-par 220 from their sixteen overs. All the bowlers were fantastic but special mentions to Jack Booth 3-14 from 3 overs, Rob Williams 2-3 from 2 overs and Sam Hoylan 1-4 from 2 overs. Hannah Curl conceded only 1 bye-keeping wicket. With a 5-run penalty awarded against the batting side for each wicket lost Bramshaw managed 9 Redlynch dismissals throughout the innings in a scintillating fielding performance.

In reply, Matt Rowlands and Sam Dewhurst got Bramshaw off to a great start with 26 runs coming from their 4-over partnership. This was followed by Jack Booth and Adam Cooper with a very steady 11-run partnership. Hannah Curl and Sam Hoylan then produced the best partnership of the innings with 27 and Nick Cooper and Rob Williams finished with a sensibly constructed 9-run partnership leaving Bramshaw on 273 and a massive 53-run win. Hannah Curl made the highest score of the innings with 15.

Every player in the team this week was fantastic throughout. It was also great to see the team helping each other out in the field by doing the basics well such as backing up the fielders to ensure no overthrows happened. Overall this was the best all-round performance I have seen from the side this year. Well done and now keep up the high standards you have reached.
