Match Report – U15s end brilliant season with a win!

22nd July 2012 – Winterslow v Bramshaw U15s

On a warm summer day, Josh won the toss and elected to bowl first with Jamie and Charlie opening up keeping the runs tight for the first seven overs and then Jack Rogers bowling a tidy spell along with Marky Buchan. Josh came on and picked up a couple of wickets to restrict them before Kaush Patel came on and bowled the last over restricting them to 70-3. All around there was some great fielding from everyone especially Rich Cooper and Ed King who took a good catch in the slips.

After the interval, Tom Mason and Kaush opened up with Tom hitting a four in the first over before getting out with the score on 4. Then I was quickly followed by Josh. For a few overs, the ship was steadied before Richard got out and big-hitting Jamie was in but he couldn’t quite match his batting from the match against Paultons. When he got out we looked in trouble but Marky came in and along with Richard saw us home easily in the end to wrap up a 6-wicket victory!

Well done to the under-15s on a fantastic season and without a couple of dubious decisions we could have had the title in our grasp!!
