Match Report – U15s edge past paultons with only 10 players!
1st July 2012 – Bramshaw U15s v Paultons
by Tom Mason
On a cold wintry like day, Bramshaw bowled first and kept it tight with Jamie and Sam’s bowling restricting Paultons to 26-1 off of 7 overs before Paultons accelerated with Pike and D. Randall hitting some good shots the bowling was getting hit about quite a lot before Josh and Kaush steadied the runs down and they scored 105-1 off their 18 overs, this was a very good effort as we were missing a lot of our frontline players. After a rain delay, George and Kaush opened up and they made a very solid start we had 42 off 10 overs and with some good shots from Kaush especially the reverse sweep which brought up the 50 partnership. When Kaush got out it was Jamie Betterigde to the crease still needing 60 of 8 overs and he hit some massive shots before he got bowled for 29 off of 8 deliveries. Then Josh was in and played calmly and then in the next over George hit the winning runs with a leg-side four, he ended up with a very solid 39*. This was a great result as I said earlier we were missing key players such as Taylor, Marky, Charlie and Jonty!!! Let’s hope our great season continues next away to Redlynch & Hale!!
