Match Report – U15s get clubs first win of the season against Langley Manor
20th May 2012 – Bramshaw U15s v Langley Manor
by Tom Mason
On a hot Sunday morning, the tension was rising for the U15’s first game of the season against Langley Manor. Bramshaw batted first and got off to an ok start with Josh and George before George got caught at mid-on. Then it was Kaush who hit a very good quick cameo of 15 before being run out in the 6th over for 15. Then in came Richard Cooper who batted like Jonathon Trott and made a very good partnership before Josh had to retire on 41*. Then it was Taylor Vane to the wicket and again Taylor created a good partnership with Richard Cooper before it was the end of the innings, Bramshaw scored 112-2 with Richard finishing on 24*, Taylor 24*.
Then It was Langley’s turn to bat and they started very slowly with Taylor and Charlie opening the bowling picking up a few early wickets and restricting many runs. After their spell Tommy, Marky who again restricted the runs, picked up a few wickets and there was also good bowling from George, Richard, Alex &Jamie. In the end, they fell well short on 52-9.
Good luck next time away to Ringwood in the cup!!!
